The Sounds of Salisbury Podcast
Bringing you the SOUNDS of the music scene along with the VOICES of the community. The Sounds of Salisbury Podcast will feature local music, fun conversation and community insight. Highlighting local causes, artists, events and activities in and around Salisbury.
Salisbury and Somewhere in Between
Alex founded the Sounds Of Salisbury Podcast in January 2019 because of his desire to
highlight the musical talent in and around our local area. With his experience as a Salisbury
singer/songwriter he wanted to give other local artists a platform to reach a wider audience
and the opportunities to teach or learn from our rich pool of musical talent.
This evolved in March 2021 when he invited his wife Ellen to promote the other areas of our
community which make up the vibrant tapestry of Salisbury. Branching off to hear from
local charities, businesses, events that are happening has made the Podcast a more well
rounded, informative listening experience.
Following a 2 year break from Podcasting we are returning in January 2024 with excitement,
fresh ideas and new equipment to bring to the table.
Our Vision
To engage with our audience and inform them of all the wonderful people and events happening in and around Salisbury. To give them a chance to hear from the people doing what they love and making a difference. To ask the questions people want to know the answers to,
Format
Each Podcast will be around 30 minutes long unless we have a super special event or topic to cover. These will be mainly split into 2 categories:
A music act where we will be chatting about them, playing a track of their choice
(ideally a live rendition of one of their songs), and shouting out when and where the
audience will be able to watch them live.
A community driven interview to discover what they are all about, what they deliver
and what they hope to achieve.
